Sports Knee Injury

Sports Knee injuries encompass a group of conditions that involve the soft tissues around the knee (eg ACL and meniscus). These injuries can impact your ability to walk, work and play sports, and more importantly, a delayed or missed diagnosis can often hinder your recovery. Receiving the appropriate care and management in a timely manner will facilitate your rehabilitation. 

Dr Balendra is a specialist sports knee surgeon who regularly deals with knee injuries and understands how anxiety-provoking they can be for patients. He has allocated urgent consulting appointments for patients with new knee injuries. He works closely with a trusted group of radiology partners and allied health professionals to ensure that you receive an accurate diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation program to manage your knee injury.

• Other Knee ligament injuries (PCL tears, MCL tears, Posterolateral corner injuries to the knee, Multi-ligament knee injury)

Prior to your appointment with Dr Balendra, you will require a referral from your GP or another specialist. This will allow you to receive any applicable Medicare rebates. Please let us know if you have had any scans performed on your knee like an X-ray or MRI scan. Online access to your scans will be obtained before your consultation.
